Nothing much happens on the culmination program for our Grade 12-Organic Agriculture students on December 20, 2019. After a short program is the distribution of certificates. We thank JB Nature Farm for accommodating our students for their 80-hour work immersion.

Engr. Woodrow Escabal, the owner of JB Nature Farm gave his feedback on the work immersion.

I had the floor to express our gratitude for JB Nature Farm for accommodating our students for their 80-hour work immersion.

Happy birthday Ma’am/Sirs.

Special ManCom Conference cum Christmas Party 2019 Hostess

My co-teacher, Sir Rodel,  informed me that we're highly recommended to be the hosts of the Special ManCom Conference cum Christmas Party 2019 on December 19, 2019. Who am I to say NO to this rare opportunity to represent our district? Though , I had speaking engagement on that day, I asked one of my close relatives to substitute me .

Last year, I was also invited to be the co-host of the 5th Regular ManCom. It was July 2018 and their outfit theme is WEDDING. Here are some photos of that day:

with my co-host, Mr. Romulo Cebuala of Timamana NHS

with the district Supervisor, Mrs. Brenda Lisbos and the head teachers from our district representing the role of the "bride and groom"

the rest of the head teachers and principals of Tubod district with Dr. Larry Morandante

This year, the outfit theme is RETRO. I don't have much time to prepare and look for the outfit. Thus, I just wear the readily available outfit from my sister.

Credits for the photos I had after this goes to Sir Rodel and to Ma'am Frelyn Stella.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the 3rd time I co-hosted with Mr. Rodel Solera, my co-teacher from Tubod NHS. It's such a joy working with him.

we're grateful to have this opportunity to have a picture with our new OIC-Division Schools Superintendent,
Mrs. Ma.Theresa Real.
If you're looking for our script, click this LINK . Just don't forget to give credits to whom it is due.

Zara's Christmas Celebration 2019

Last year, I wasn't able to join Zara's Christmas celebration because of Master's studies. This year, I'm glad we're able to join as a family and witness Zara's dance.

I wasn't able to upload the other video of Zara because it's over 100 MB. You can view it on my facebook account HERE.

Zara, the Flower Girl

When Zara was almost 2 years old, she was the little bride of her Tito Zene and Tita Gracie's wedding.

I can't find Zara's picture walking the aisle as the Little Bride :(

Last December 14, 2019, she was one of the flower girls of our close friend's wedding.

Gatsby-Inspired District Christmas Party 2019

Right after our advisory class' Christmas celebration, I raced against time just to reach Kasili Resort in Mainit on time to attend a Values Transformation seminar with an invited guest- a priest. He's right about lots of things about teachers to have a relationship with God and possess Christ-like attitude in dealing with students and deal life professionally with good attitude.

Before dinner, we need to change outfit-from our uniformed polo shirt to Gatsby-inspired outfit. When we say "Gatsby" , it means "excessively extravagant, cool, stylish". I don't have much time to choose my outfit for the night. I just grabbed a black lacey dress from my wardrobe and put accessories like pearl necklace and silver floral hairpiece:

It's me with my colleague, Ma'am Chrisma

with our SHS Coordinator, Madam Lucyl in orange :)

What do you think of our look? Have we pulled the "Gatsby" look?

Christmas Party 2019 with Grade 11-Agriculture

The original plan we had with my advisory class is to rent a Videoke on December 12 and had a party from 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. But they were dismayed that this plan was not push through due to the order from our District supervisor to have our Christmas celebration only on December 13, 2019 from 8:00-12:00 Noon. We had no choice but to obey the order.

We had our program ready and invited their subject teachers especially those without advisory class to join us.

We started around 10:00 A.M due to the fact that I had to attend first my son's Christmas party for a while.

(L-R) Meeting my son's adviser, Mr. Virgil, my sis Beighty Aivee, my daughter Zara and son Hyzyd

The party started and we're blessed to have my sister Meizona to document our day. We had a short program, games and dancing.

We changed venue for our lunch. For their 100.00 Php contribution, they got 1pc chicken barbecue from Sacanto, 1 bottle Mismo drink, ice cream and lots of goodies as prizes!

Thank you Ma'am Jess, Ma'am Chrisma and Ma'am Remz for joining us.

The fun was cut short at 12:00 noon due to the fact that I need to prepare for our seminar cum District Christmas Party at 1:00 P.M to 10:00 P.M.

There's one thing I forgot during this event...GROUP PICTURE!!! Dang, no one remembers to remind me that we need to have a picture with the whole gang :(

Anyway, I had fun and I'm glad that my students enjoyed the party. By the way, we kinda rushed with our exchange gift...Thank you Elaine Mae P. Laid for the gift.

Happy Christmas to one and all!

Brownout School-Based Christmas Party for Teachers 2019

Even though our Christmas Party for teachers on December 12, 2019 at 3:00 P.M was kinda unfortunate because of brownout, we still managed to enjoy the party with different parts of the program drawn by lot.

I was late...it's embarrassing..hahhahahaha...but still we have to enjoy the party so off we go onstage to dance without practice! We pulled it through with success and kudos to my colleagues who followed my lead without question..hahahahaha!!!

Sorry, I don't have pictures of the event because I don't have my phone and I wasn't able to bring our camera .

I had a picture of my OOTD afterwards and the gift that I received from my Manita, Ma'am Jessielyn Rose E. Navarro.

That's the look you get when you receive an awesome gift!

Work Immersion at JB Nature Farm

This year is our 2nd time that we partnered with JB Nature Farm and Resort at P-7 Sukailang, Surigao City for the Work Immersion of our Grade 12-Organic Agriculture students. This commercial farm that practices organic farming is the perfect learning site for our 14 Agriculture students to undergo a practical on-the-job enterprise-based training with a minimum of 80 hours. This work immersion is one of the requirements for our senior high students to graduate.

I personally escorted them last Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 3:00 PM to Sukailang's new Tourist Inn where they are housed. Our students were the first guests of this tourist inn...good for them! Aren't they blessed? I'm so grateful for the Barangay Captain of this beautiful place for warmly welcoming us as well as the other barangay officers. They assured me that that our students are safe in their caring hands.

In case you're wondering how we're able to find a partner as capable as JB Nature Farm, start with a letter of intent stating your desire to let your students be trained in their learning site. This site suits well for senior high schools who are offering TVL Track specializing Organic Agriculture or Agricrop Production.

Next, prepare a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) duly signed by both parties- Tubod NHS and JB Nature Farm.

Then wait for the schedule. As you wait for the date assigned for your class, look for boarding houses to house your students. In our case, as the 14 of them is sooo crowded in the tourist inn, we found a nearby house that is willing to take in 5 of our students. Thanks to Mrs. Marivic, the Treasurer of Pamana who helped us find a good place for our students.

The following shows the break-down of our students expenses:

360.00 Php - Housing fee (30/day/ head x 12 days)
100.00 Php- Transportation fare (back and forth)
150.00 Php- Registration fee
--------------
610.00 Php- TOTAL

As parents, it's up to you to give extra money as allowance aside from providing rice and viand budget good for 5 days per week assuming that on weekends your student will come home. If not, then provide his/her needs for 12 days.

Picture opportunity with the Brgy. Captain of Sukailang, Capt. Junjun Cabajes, a certain Brgy .Kagawad and Mrs. Marivic, the Treasurer of Pamana.

Ronnie and Joanne Mika's Pre-Nuptial Photoshoot

My hubby's hobby is photography. He used to shoot my OOTD whenever I need to review clothes and stuff sent by my sponsors before. Whenever he received photoshoot gig, he'll have me as his P.A and creative director (nagagalingan lang ako sa term, pagbigyan nyo nalang ako...hahahaha!).

Yesterday, as a gift to our dear kapamilya, we offered to do their Prenup shoot. What the theme? We showed their passion as foresters and just who they are in real life- peace-loving couple who enjoys serene life in the barrio. The following are the few of the shoots my hubby did:

I'm proud of what we've accomplished yesterday and of course, I'm one proud photographer's wife! My sisters, Yvonne and Meizona, were part of the team as make-up artist and assistants.

Venues for our photo shoot are in Boyongan and Jubasan in Cawilan.

It's Me, Genebei!

Hey world! I'm back in the blogging world!

If you're new here...let me tell you why I said "I'm back in the blogging world!"

I've been blogging since year 2008 and maintained about 8 blogs for about 8 years- personal blog, travel blog, food blog, fashion blog, Hyzyd's blog , teaching blog and two other blogs that tackle general topics. I was earning and enjoyed being one of ROMWE's fashion blogger until year 2015. I gave up my blogs when I came back in Philippines in year 2016 . First reason is the internet connection problem. Next is my desire to be OFFLINE. I want to enjoy the serene life in my hometown without being bugged of online tasks and deadlines.

...and now, as I handled the subject "Creative Nonfiction", I was inspired to go back blogging. My son asked me " Mom, will you be officially go back in the blogging world?".  I want to ...but this time I will write not because of sponsors nor because I'm paid to write but I will write because I want to. In this way, there's no pressure if I go hiatus for as long as I want. I just write when I have time to spare. I write because I have something to share and I'll write so that I have an avenue to see what I have accomplished since I decided to share my life online.

It's Me, Genebei! is the name of my blog to showcase what kind of life I've been living - as a daughter of God, a daughter of my parents, as a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend , a colleague and as a DepEd SHS teacher.

Welcome to my world!

Tough Day, Positive Outlook
